This stone built Tapas Wine Bar & Gallery sits in historic premises just behind Laugharne's thoroughfare. Our atmosphere is casual and relaxed with a Mediterranean feel enhanced by our warm colours.

Owner Wendy Joy trained as a chef and spent many years catering for famous people around the world before coming here in 1989. Her cosmopolitan tastes are reflected in both the menu and decor of this charming establishment. She has gained a superb reputation for the high standard of food she serves.The refurbishment of her award winning restaurant includes a Gallery which houses paintings and photographs, both old and new, of Laugharne.

The re-launch of the Stable Door Wine Bar as a Tapas Bar and Gallery has a stunning and rarely seen portrait of Welsh legend, the poet Dylan Thomas, the oil painting which has been loaned to Wendy for the opening is by the artist Jeffery Spedding. 

As well as the fabulous portrait of Dylan, Wendy has been loaned a lantern from the Brown's Hotel which used to hang outside the historic hotel.  There is also some fantastic pictures on loan, dating back to the turn of the century making this an historic exhibition. Wendy has more paintings and pottery in the pipeline, 'Laugharne is an inspirational place and the Stable Door is the perfect venue to showcase local artists.
